Voted Hilo, Hawaii’s best seafood restaurant by locals, the Seaside restaurant is a one of a kind experience. Built on 30 acres of natural fish ponds, the Seaside raises seven different kinds of fish (mullet, aholohole, catfish, golden tilapia, rainbow trout, carp and papio) on property. According to their website, once the dinner reservations are made, the owner goes out back and scoops up the fish needed, cleans and prepares them for dinner. That’s fresh!
