(Kauai)
This is one of Hawaii’s most pristine, untouched coastline’s,
that is truly breathtaking. There are only three ways to get there
– to hike in, take a boat by ocean or go by air. If you hike
in, (not recommended for the novice hiker) you will need a State
permit and good weather, not to mention the stamina to hike 22 miles
round-trip on a trail that often goes up and down 400’ in
elevation. However, anyone can take a boat or a helicopter during
the summer – there are many companies to choose from (you
can’t go by boat in the winter as the waves can reach heights
of 50’.) After a 45-60 minute ride you will be able to see
dolphins, waterfalls and by boat even go for a swim. It’s
a Hawaii value attraction that is well worth it!
